We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Junior IT Recruiter to support high-volume hiring during a large-scale vendor-to-FTE conversion and upcoming IT hiring initiatives. This role will support full-cycle recruiting for technical and IT support roles while also providing administrative and onboarding assistance. The ideal candidate brings experience working in fast-paced environments, excellent communication skills, and a passion for connecting technology professionals with meaningful opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support full-cycle recruiting for IT positions, including sourcing, screening, coordinating interviews, and facilitating offers
- Assist with high-volume vendor-to-FTE conversion hiring initiatives
- Manage candidate pipelines within Workday, ensuring data accuracy and timely workflow progression
- Coordinate and support onboarding activities; greet and assist new hires onsite every Monday
- Represent the organization at citywide and department-hosted hiring events, including a major hiring event in March
- Maintain strong candidate communication to ensure an exceptional hiring experience
- Partner with HR leadership and hiring managers to understand staffing needs and priorities
- Track recruiting metrics and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Support diversity, equity, and inclusion hiring goals and best practices
- Assist with scheduling, documentation, eligibility verification, and other recruiting operations tasks
Required Qualifications
3+ years of IT recruiting experienceExperience supporting full-cycle recruiting in a fast-paced, high-volume environmentStrong administrative, organizational, and process management skillsExperience using Workday Recruiting or similar applicant tracking systemsExcellent verbal and written communication skills with comfort in public-facing interactionsAbility to work onsite every Monday; flexibility for hybrid schedule otherwisePreferred Qualifications
Experience recruiting within government, public sector, or union environmentsKnowledge of current IT workforce trends, including cloud, cybersecurity, data analytics, and digital transformation hiringExperience supporting hiring event logistics or campus / community recruitment initiativesCurrent IT Talent Focus Areas (Nice to Have Knowledge)

Fast-paced recruiting operations supporting mission-critical technology servicesCollaborative HR team environment with exposure to workforce planning and IT human capital strategyHybrid schedule available based on workload and event schedule; onsite Mondays requiredMinimum of 5 years of experience in full-cycle recruiting, specifically within technology roles.Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems and other recruitment software.Strong knowledge of Workday systems and integration technologies.Familiarity with IT infrastructure, including Microsoft technologies and ITIL frameworks.Demonstrated ability to screen and interview candidates effectively.Experience in building talent pipelines and maintaining candidate databases.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with HR and hiring teams.Strong organizational skills to manage multiple hiring processes simultaneously.
