Job Summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a vital role in providing professional nursing care for residents of all ages in long-term care settings, consulting closely with registered nurses, advanced practice providers, or physicians. We seek candidates who demonstrate strong nursing principles and competency across various clinical situations while effectively addressing the physical and psychosocial needs of our residents. You must possess the capability to evaluate resident status and provide necessary care.

Your responsibilities will include ensuring the health, comfort, and safety of residents, contributing to assessments, administering medications or treatments, providing technical support to healthcare professionals, and documenting relevant interactions and outcomes. We value skilled individuals who can foster effective working relationships with residents, healthcare providers, and the community. Communication proficiency and confidentiality in managing sensitive information are essential, as is the ability to develop and educate residents on self-care plans.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse with a preference for those with an associate degree.
• If IV therapy / management skills are required, completion of an approved program is necessary.
• Must have completed a nursing program with supervised clinical experience or have a minimum of 400 hours of relevant experience.
• Valid, unencumbered LPN license with the State Nursing Board and / or possess multi-state licensure privileges.
• Willingness to maintain required competencies and complete annual continuing education units (CEUs).
