Job Description : Cross-Trained Team Member (Cashier & Prep)

  • Position Overview :

We are seeking a motivated and versatile Cross-Trained Team Member to join our dynamic Spudz team! In this role, you will be responsible for both cashier duties and food prep, ensuring a smooth and efficient customer experience from start to finish. You’ll play a key role in delivering outstanding service while helping to prepare our signature loaded potatoes and other delicious offerings.

  • Cashier Duties :
  • Greet and assist customers with a friendly, positive attitude.
  • Accurately take customer orders and process transactions using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
  • Answer customer questions about the menu and make recommendations.
  • Ensure all cash handling procedures are followed.
  • Manage online and in-store orders, ensuring timely and accurate service.
  • Prep Duties :
  • Assist with preparing ingredients and assembling food orders according to recipes and quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work station in the prep area.
  • Follow food safety and hygiene guidelines, including proper storage and handling of ingredients.
  • Support kitchen staff in cooking and assembling dishes during peak hours.
  • Ensure all prep work is completed for upcoming shifts, including stocking stations.
  • Skills & Qualifications :
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in both customer service and food prep roles.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen safety.
  • Previous experience in food service, customer service, or cashier roles is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-volume orders.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
  • Requirements :
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and perform light physical labor, such as lifting boxes and cleaning.
