RN Day Surgery Shift / Schedule - Full Time Days Mon- Friday 8 : 00 AM -4 : 30 PM. Day Surgery Unit Our Day Surgery unit is a fast-paced environment that includes high acuity patients. Are you looking to increase your knowledge base? Patient Population : General Surgery, Orthopedics, Neuro, Gynecology, ENT, Oncology, Pain management, Interventional Radiology, and Gastroenterology patients. PreOp and Phase II Patient Ratios : PreOp 1 : 1; Phase II : Ranges from 1 : 2 - 1 : 3-5; per ASPAN (American Society of PeriAnesthesia Nurses guidelines. Number of Beds : 18 Department Specifics : Team nursing approach to pre-operative patients, ability to cross train in PACU and GI lab, and collaborative team. Qualifications Accredited program or (2) two years minimum, required for this position. A major focus or specialization in Nursing. Ideally, some relevant professional experience, though less than a (1) one year would suffice. Registered Nurse (RN) Basic Life Support (BLS) or obtain within (30) thirty days of hire or transfer.
