Our Soliant pharmacy team has exciting Interim Pharmacy Manager / PIC opportunity in a Specialty pharmacy setting.
This is a great opportunity for a pharmacist with specialty pharmacy experience and management skills to help ensure pliance, continuity, and leadership.
LOCATION : South Boston Area
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Pharmacy Manager (PIC) to oversee pharmacy operations, ensure safe and pliant medication practices, and support patient care within our specialty pharmacy environment. This role works closely with Intake, Referral Services, Nursing / Clinical teams, Reimbursement, and Pharmacy Operations.
Required Licenses & Experience
- Active Massachusetts Pharmacist License (required)
- Connecticut Pharmacist License (preferred or willingness to obtain quickly)
- Specialty, Infusion, or pounding background required
- Retail-only backgrounds will not meet requirements
- BS or PharmD from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy
- Strong understanding of specialty therapies and patient qualification processes
- Experience supervising or working closely with pharmacy technicians
Preferred Experience
3+ years in Specialty, Infusion, Mail Order, Hospital, or similar pharmacy settingsExperience in specialty pharmacy operations, payer requirements, and clinical coordinationFamiliarity with CareTend (preferred)Key Responsibilities
Oversee prescription review, verification, dispensing, and pliance with all regulatory standards (State Board of Pharmacy, FDA, DEA, URAC, ACHC, etc.)Provide patient counseling and manage medication therapy for specialty disease statesSupervise and guide pharmacy technicians and internsCollaborate with Intake, Referral, and Clinical teams to ensure smooth onboarding and prescription fulfillmentSupport documentation, quality assurance, and incident resolutionMaintain pharmacy records and ensure accurate operational workflowsParticipate in on-call rotation as needed Skills & petenciesStrong clinical judgment and knowledge of specialty medicationsExcellent munication, leadership, and multitasking abilityProficiency with Microsoft Office and pharmacy softwareAbility to work onsite and manage multiple operational prioritiesThis is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced specialty pharmacy leader who thrives in establishing, implementing, and growing pharmacy teams to provide the utmost in patient medication delivery and care.
