Senior VP of Cloud Strategy and Technology

They are hiring a Senior VP to take ownership of cloud strategy and technology across their entire company and bring acquisitions and growth into a uniform platform to meet the needs of the long-term strategy.

The Senior VP of Cloud Strategy and Technology will focus on developing IT strategy, cloud architecture, and adding value to business through technology. They will bring a fresh vision and toolset to the company workforce operating within the country. This vision for the company’s internal cloud will align all business units with overall goals, milestones, and objectives.

Focus:

• Govern strategy and operations within the company’s cloud technology. SME on cloud architecture, platforms, and environments.
• Successfully deploy and operate cloud applications in SaaS environment.
• Ensure compliance and security of all software applications. Optimize architectural resiliency, disaster recovery, and application operation.
• Own the process and lead team in cloud strategy. Implement processes for cloud adoption, integration, and implementation.
• Lead cloud application design and integration. Work alongside IT team to deliver solutions. Ensure road mapped solutions are repeatable and scalable.
• Communicate cloud value proposition to range of audiences, including review boards, senior management, cross-functional teams, and other relevant stakeholders.
• Address aspects of cloud adoption in terms of development, life cycle management, data security, enterprise management, governance, and more.
• Act as cloud promoter for the value it brings the business. Understand how cloud works with business and impacts various levels of organization.
• Guide with knowledge. Share vision for roadmap and application selection while noting risks and optimization opportunities.
• Identify and bring technology opportunities to the organization and collaborate with the board to develop strategy to approach best opportunities.
• Own the cloud strategy from A to Z.

Skill Set

• Degree level: BSEE or BSCS; MBA preferred with management or technical specialization.
• Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure, applications, architecture, various platforms, best practices for integration, microservices, and DevOps. Ability to ensure and enforce compliance.
• 15+ years of experience in cloud technology and enterprise solutions from application side.
• Proven management, leadership, and P&L experience with ownership over large-scale initiatives a must.
• Need to be familiar with and confident in security aspects of cloud.
• Understanding of cloud value from business standpoint. Ability to articulate value props and influence tech decision maker discussion.
• Well-versed in technical aspects of cloud architecture including agile environments, emerging tech, software design, and more.
• In-depth understanding of IT and process implementation and transformation. Track record of success in building cloud policies, standards, and principles needed.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, OpenStack, and/or G Suite. Cloud certifications a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; comfortable delivering presentations to board members and executive management teams. Collaborative attitude and delivery style.
• Technical awareness of wireless technologies, IoT software and devices, and cloud applications.
• Understanding of commercial pricing, P&L, impact analysis, and business management.
