Legal Assistant

Location : On-site, North Carolina office

Schedule : Monday–Friday, 9 : 00 a.m.–6 : 00 p.m.

Status : Full-time, Non-exempt

Ascendo Resources is partnering with a well-established North Carolina law firm client that is seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant to support a team of litigation attorneys in their Raleigh office. This role is ideal for a highly organized professional who thrives on managing multiple priorities, maintaining accuracy under pressure, and ensuring attorneys have the administrative support they need to serve clients effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Open and organize new case files, including conflict checks and sub-file setup.
• Maintain case management systems and organize documents for easy access and tracking.
• Prepare, edit, and format legal documents, correspondence, pleadings, and discovery materials with quick turnaround.
• Manage attorney calendars, schedule depositions, mediations, and hearings, and coordinate logistics such as conference rooms and court reporters.
• Handle incoming and outgoing mail, phone calls, and client communications with professionalism and discretion.
• Assist in document filing with courts and administrative agencies; manage scanned and electronic records.
• Prepare meeting materials, deposition binders, and discovery productions.
• Support billing functions, including processing invoices, expense requests, and case closures.
• Provide administrative support to multiple attorneys while meeting deadlines and maintaining accuracy.
