Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Scheduler I II to support turnaround planning and execution at a refinery facility. This role involves developing detailed schedules and job plans, coordinating across multiple disciplines, and contributing to optimization and safety efforts. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in maintenance planning and proven proficiency with Primavera P6 scheduling software.
Main Functions
- Develop detailed job plans for mechanical resources aligned with turnaround schedules and work lists.
- Create field execution work packages for mechanical teams involved in repairs and construction of fixed equipment, electrical systems, instrumentation, rotating equipment, analyzers, and other related assets.

Efficiently perform work activities while identifying cost-saving opportunities.Develop comprehensive job plans including :Resource requirements
Safety plansTask sequencing and durationsRepair proceduresDrawings and specificationsMaterial and equipment needsGantt chartsTotal labor hours and cost estimatesDevelop, maintain, and optimize turnaround and maintenance schedules using Primavera P6 , ensuring integration of all disciplines and alignment with project milestones.Perform critical path and near-critical path analysis in Primavera P6 to identify schedule risks and recommend mitigation strategies.Learn and apply site-specific turnaround procedures and standards.Coordinate planning resources in line with turnaround specifications, safety, quality, and cost requirements.Collaborate with schedulers and execution teams to monitor progress and adjust plans as needed.Integrate multi-craft job plans and update them with approved change orders.Walk down job packages and verify against prints and drawings.Conduct pre-startup safety reviews and create punch lists.Track key turnaround milestones and develop milestone plans.Manage detailed line-item work lists and support shutdown / startup plans.Finalize and optimize integrated turnaround schedules with the scheduler.Validate work steps and durations with team members and contractors.Participate in integrated event reviews and planning peer assists.Ensure completion of :Contractor execution plans

Prior experience in a similar scheduling or planning role within industrial maintenance or turnaround environments.Proficiency in Primavera P6 for schedule development, maintenance, and analysis (required).Strong safety mindset and commitment to safe work practices.Extensive mechanical knowledge including pipe fitting, welding, boiler making, electrical, rotating equipment, instrumentation, and inspection techniques.Proficient in reading mechanical drawings, blueprints, isometrics, and P&IDs.Ability to interpret field changes and red-line drawings.Strong coordination and communication skills across multiple teams.Intermediate proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.Familiarity with MOC and PSSR processes.Basic safety and site-specific training.Trained in PPE usage, SCBA equipment, and safe access to field areas including scaffolds and ladders.Physically capable of performing field duties including lifting up to 50 lbs and working in various positions (standing, kneeling, climbing, etc.).Demonstrates belief in accident prevention and actively contributes to safety meetings and planning.Education and Experience
High School Diploma or EquivalentMinimum of 7 years of experience in a related maintenance scheduling or planning role within refinery, petrochemical, or industrial environments.Work Schedule
