Lab Volunteers for Free Medical Clinic, Oregon City

Clackamas Volunteers in Medicine is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing quality healthcare to low-income, uninsured residents of Clackamas County. Located in Oregon City, we are the only clinic in Clackamas County which offers medical services at no cost to patients. Our friendly medical team, which includes providers, nurses, scribes, interpreters, lab and administrative staff, provides comprehensive services to clinic patients, including disease prevention, health maintenance and education. We are currently seeking volunteer lab personnel to join us in providing these much needed services.

Lab volunteers collect blood and urine specimens for processing as required by medical personnel orders. The volunteer performs CLIA-waived testing in support of patient care, and performs quality control on CLIA-waived tests. Volunteers may work as a team : One volunteer may complete computer procedures and paperwork, and the other may complete specimen collections. Experienced phlebotomists, MAs and nurses, as well as others who have worked in medical environment are encouraged to inquire.
