Level Installers---Travel:
Must have, or be able to obtain, Real ID or Passport for nationwide air travel.

. Have a minimum of years accumulated experience, or equivalent as determined by the Installation Supplier's training process and demonstrated to the TC representative upon request, proficiency in the system (Network Elements , , , or ) being worked on, or hold a Certificate of Completion from a training facility providing an appropriate curriculum.
. Be capable of performing the following work operations or job activities without supervision or direction:

• Addition or removal of common systems equipment hardware.
• Addition or removal of wiring and connections (on non-working equipment only).
• Lead verification/continuity testing.
• Analysis of job specifications and drawings.
• Understand the Scope of Work (SOW) and write comprehensive Job Change Order (JCO) summaries.
• Provide work assignments to Skill Level and Installers.
• Prepare a Method of Procedure (MOP).
• Write Job Information Memorandums (JIMs).
• Resolve job specification and/or drawing problems.
• Mark/correct office record drawings.
• In-process and final quality inspections.

. Be capable of performing as the Installation Supplier's in-charge person on Common Systems jobs.
. Not perform Skill Level work operations/job activities unless properly supervised.
. Not progress to Skill Level without a minimum of years accumulated experience or equivalent as determined by the Installation Supplier's training process.
. Not perform work operations/job activities on working equipment or circuits unless directly supervised.

Requirements:
. Must understand and know how to use Microsoft programs and applications on a PC and smart device.
. Must understand Ethernet and Serial connection requirements and be able to establish PC to Network Elements communications using appropriate interface cable.
. Must have a smart phone with picture capabilities and the ability to place applications used for work.
. Must have a smart phone with "Mobile Hotspot” capabilities and the ability to establish smart phone to PC connections for the purpose of assisting with remote support via desktop sharing.
. Must be able to work alone and with others in a fast-paced schedule.
. Must be able to take direction and constructive criticism.
. Must be able to think freely and overcome complex issues.
. Ability to learn to run scripts and commands for test and turn-up of equipment.
. Must be able to learn company and customer programs for data collection.
. Must have the ability to fly and ability to travel % for consecutive weeks or more with field breaks as the company needs allow.
. Must pass criminal and drug tests to gain access badging from the telco customer.
. Must be able to interface politely with the customer using proper work ethics and etiquette while working under pressure.
. Must have the ability and aptitude to meet customer start and stop working hours.
. Must be able to climb ladders and work in tight spaces.
. Must have their own telecom insulated hand tools. (See required tool kits below)
. Understanding of proper cabling installation and protection techniques.
. Understanding industry standards for securing cables using waxed -cord and Velcro.
. Understanding of proper fiber types, ends, jumper/JPOI handling and protection.
. Understanding of proper fiber cleaning and scoping techniques. (Will NOT be required to splice)
. Knowledge and understanding of DWDM, OME long haul, short haul, up to G circuits.
. Knowledge and understanding of mounting equipment in customer central offices, colocation areas, huts, and outdoor enclosures.
. Ability to make and test Cat-/ cables straight and crossover.
. Ability to see Understand the telecom color codes and wire wrap paired cable.
. Ability to read, interpret, and understand engineering documents, customer best practices, and manufacturer technical practices.

. Knowledge of AC and DC power. a. Power Bays, verifying and installing -V and return leads while protecting live circuits.
b. Must be able to properly strip and crimp DC power leads.
c. Crimping of lugs and H-Taps.
d. Ability to terminate power safely.
e. Use of electrical grease where required.
f. Use of double insulated torque wrench and screwdriver.
g. Able to work steadily in an enclosed power environment.
h. Understanding of AC power and connections.
. Knowledge of Telcordia GR industry installation standards.
. Telco equipment manufacturer and customer knowledge is a plus. a. Ciena
