TEMPORARY EMPLOYMENT APPLICATION
The Registrar of Voters office conducts elections for San Diego County. Major elections for President, State Offices, School Boards, Special Districts, and Cities are held in even years. Somespecial electionsare held in odd years.
JOB DESCRIPTION :
Primary responsibilities are explaining candidate filing information to potential candidates and the public, assisting candidates with their filing documents, proofing ballot material, answering / transferring phone calls, operating cash register, issuing certified copies, researchingvoter registration, voting history requests, and front counter assistance. In addition, will assist with various clerical duties as needed.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES :
Additional Requirements / Information :
While preparing for an election, there is extensive overtime required, often with little or no advanced warning. Vacations and time off during an election cycle are not allowed. This position will begin in late January 2026 and end in June 2026.
Regular working hours will be 8 : 00 a.m.-5 : 00 p.m.
Please note : Will be required to work extended hours and weekends when needed.
