Salary & Compensation
- UCLA provides a full pay range. Actual salary offers consider factors, including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. Salary offers at the top of the range are not common. Qualifications
Ability to maintain on-time work hours and regular schedule. (Required)Understanding of fluxgate / search coil magnetometer performance and accommodation. (Required)Familiarity with issue tracking and version control file systems for process documentation. (Preferred)Experience with thermal vacuum operation and troubleshooting; building and operating custom GSE. (Preferred)Working knowledge of CAD, electrical CAD, and simulation software; ability to write test software and scripts in Python and LabVIEW. (Preferred)Experience with spacecraft integration and testing. (Required)Knowledge of NASA Practices and Standards for flight hardware. (Required)Skill in working independently and following through on assignments with guidance / supervision, and communicating effectively with others orally and in writing. (Required)Attention to detail and ability to translate scientific project requirements into robust engineering solutions; willingness to learn new techniques on-the-fly and be resourceful in solving interdisciplinary engineering challenges. (Required)Working knowledge of SolidWorks, CAMWorks or equivalent 3D mechanical design tools, Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. (Required)Familiarity with aerospace design and test methods, component de-rating and appropriate selection based on project requirements, requirements flow down, and spacecraft systems resource budgets. Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Aerospace Engineering, and / or equivalent experience / training. (Required)Special Conditions for Employment
