Job Title: SAP Technical Consultant Lead Engineer Location: Orlando, Florida Experience: 12+ Years Employment Type: Contract Interview Type: In-Person or Webcam Job Summary We are seeking a highly experienced SAP Technical Consultant Lead Engineer who can take ownership of technical design, development, and delivery across SAP landscapes. This role requires strong hands-on skills in SAP development, system integrations, performance tuning, and technical leadership. You will collaborate with functional teams, architects, business stakeholders, and developers to ensure robust, scalable, and high-performing SAP solutions. Key Responsibilities Technical Design and Development Lead end-to-end SAP technical solution design, development, and implementation across multiple modules. Build and enhance custom applications using ABAP, OOABAP, CDS Views, OData, BAPIs, BADIs, and user exits. Design and manage interfaces between SAP and external systems using PI/PO, CPI, IDocs, RFCs, and APIs. Review technical designs and code to ensure performance, reliability, and adherence to development standards. System Integration and Support Troubleshoot and resolve complex SAP technical issues across development, QA, and production environments. Support system upgrades, enhancement packs, S/4HANA conversions, patches, and technical cutover activities. Optimize system performance through tuning, root-cause analysis, and proactive monitoring. Collaboration and Leadership Work closely with functional consultants to translate business needs into effective technical solutions. Provide direction to development teams and guide offshore/onshore resources. Prepare documentation including technical specifications, development standards, and architectural diagrams. Communicate project status, risks, and technical recommendations to stakeholders and leadership teams. Quality, Security, and Compliance Ensure all SAP development meets security, audit, and compliance requirements. Implement best practices for SAP development, testing, and deployment processes. Support landscape planning, technical strategy, and system stability initiatives. Required Skills and Qualifications 12+ years of experience as an SAP Technical Consultant, SAP Lead Engineer, or similar senior technical role. Advanced expertise in ABAP, OOABAP, WebDynpro, workflows, SmartForms, and A e Forms. Strong experience in SAP S/4HANA environments, including CDS views, OData services, and Fiori-related development. Deep understanding of SAP integration technologies such as PI/PO, CPI, IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, REST APIs, and middleware. Proven experience supporting SAP upgrades, patches, migrations, and large-scale implementations. Strong architectural understanding of SAP landscape components and their interactions. Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues across multiple modules and systems. Strong documentation skills and ability to present technical solutions clearly to stakeholders. Experience leading teams, mentoring developers, and managing deliverables in fast-paced environments.
