RESPONSIBILITIES

• Build strong relationships with scholars, families, administrators, and PATH team members.
• Display an understanding of The PATH School's vision, mission, and core values.
• Invest in the learners well-being, health, and safety, physically, socially, and emotionally.
• Deep knowledge and passion for content areas : English / Language Arts, Mathematics, Humanities, Physical education, Music, Art or Theater
• Teaches content and skills in English Language Arts, literature, composition, reading, and journalism to middle school scholars
• Adapts ELA material and methods to develop relevant sequential assignments and lesson plans that guide and challenge scholars
• Complete assessments, reports, grading, planning, and conferences with students, staff, and families within appropriate timelines.
• Administer standardized ability and achievement tests and interpret results to determine student strengths and areas of need.
• Ensure proper implementation of Functional Behavioral Assessment, Behavior Intervention Plans, Individualized Education, and 504 programs.
• Communicate with parents / guardians regularly to discuss their children's progress and to determine priorities for their children and their resource needs.
• Maintain accurate and complete student records as required by laws, district policies, and administrative regulations.
• Manage scholar behavior and maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and systems of the school.
• Perform administrative duties, such as assisting in hall and cafeteria monitoring, and bus loading and unloading.
• Other duties as assigned.
