We are looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join a local West Houston company on a contract with the potential for long-term employment. This role requires a strong understanding of accounts payable processes and an ability to manage data entry with precision. The ideal candidate will have experience with QuickBooks Online and a solid grasp of cash basis accounting principles.

Responsibilities :

• Accurately input data into accounting systems, ensuring precision in all entries.
• Manage accounts payable tasks, including coding and processing invoices.
• Utilize QuickBooks Online to record expenses and generate reports.
• Handle shared and split costs across intercompany books with careful attention to detail.
• Ensure proper coding of invoices to facilitate accurate reporting.
• Process payments and check runs in a timely and organized manner.
• Collaborate with team members to calculate shared costs between companies as needed.
• Maintain organized records of all accounts payable activities for auditing purposes.
• Support the team in additional payable tasks as the role evolves.
