Database Management - Advanced

Our client is currently seeking a Database Management - AdvancedTHIS IS A W2 ONLY POSITION. 100% ONSITE. NO REMOTE WORK FOR THIS ROLE.

As a Teradata Data Warehouse Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing our on-premises Teradata infrastructure while supporting its migration to a cloud-based solution. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally to ensure platform security, reliability, and performance, and play a key role in modernizing our data ecosystem.

Responsibilities

Design, maintain, and optimize the on-prem Teradata data warehouse infrastructure.

Integrate platform with enterprise-wide security monitoring tools to ensure compliance and protection.

Diagnose and resolve issues related to backups, restores, performance bottlenecks, and network connectivity.

Contribute to the planning and execution of the migration to Teradata Cloud.

Collaborate with internal teams to align data warehouse operations with business needs and technical standards.

Minimum Qualifications

Hands-on experience with Teradata Data Warehouse administration.

Proficiency in backup and restore operations using BAR (Backup Archive Restore).

Working knowledge of ServiceNow for incident and change management.

Strong scripting skills in Python and familiarity with JSON data structures.

Experience with SUSE Linux system administration.

Exposure to AWS Cloud services and infrastructure.

Demonstrated involvement in cloud migration projects, preferably Teradata Cloud.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience integrating data platforms with enterprise security tools.

Familiarity with CI / CD pipelines and infrastructure automation.

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in complex environments.

Excellent communication and collaboration abilities across technical and non-technical teams.
