Field Service Diesel Mechanic – Las Vegas, NV 89030

Compensation : $34–$40 / hour depending on experience

Schedule : Full-time, Monday–Friday, local routes only (no overnight travel)

Overview

Hiring an experienced Field Service Diesel Mechanic to perform mobile diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on diesel trucks, commercial fleet vehicles, and equipment throughout the Las Vegas area. This is a local mobile role with daily home time, steady workflow, and long-term career stability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, and powertrains
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, emissions, and aftertreatment systems
  • Conduct DOT inspections and complete accurate digital service documentation
  • Manage daily service routes and maintain a stocked, organized service truck
  • Communicate repair needs clearly with dispatch and customers
  • Provide professional, safety-focused field service at customer locations

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic or Diesel Technician
  • Experience with platforms such as Cummins, Detroit Diesel, CAT, Freightliner, Kenworth, Peterbilt, or International preferred
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • ASE certifications preferred but not required
  • Strong communication and time-management skills
