GENERAL SUMMARY :

The Safety Director is responsible for ensuring that the highest level of safety and security standards are maintained to protect the residents, employees, and visitors, as well as the assets of our community. They interact with various departments, ensuring general safety practices are being adhered to. Extensive resident and employee interaction is also required, as it pertains to routine issues as well as sensitive situations. The Safety Director has direct oversight of the Safety Department, which is responsible for emergency response, life safety, OSHA and workplace training, disaster preparedness, investigations such as Workers Compensation claims, theft, etc.
