Univision Local Media is seeking a passionate storyteller who thrives in a fast-paced news environment and takes pride in serving our local community. As our Multimedia Journalist, you'll be the voice and eyes of Sacramento's Hispanic audience, covering breaking news, developing enterprise stories, and building meaningful connections with community leaders, government officials, and local authorities.
This role demands a versatile "one-person band" who can seamlessly transition from field reporting to anchoring newscasts, particularly on weekends. You'll generate compelling story ideas, conduct in-depth interviews, and present reports with clarity and objectivity. Beyond traditional broadcasting, you'll create engaging content for our digital platforms and social media channels, ensuring Univision's presence resonates across all touchpoints where our audience connects with news. The ideal candidate combines strong news judgment with creative storytelling abilities, capable of working independently while collaborating effectively with our team.
YOUR DAY-DAY :
- Report and Produce : Create compelling daily stories from start to finish—research, interview, shoot, write, and edit
- Anchor : Lead newscasts as needed, particularly on weekends
- Engage : Generate content through community contacts and social media, maintaining an active presence across all Univision platforms
- Connect : Build and maintain relationships with local officials, community leaders, and news sources
- Represent : Participate in community events and maintain the highest standards of professionalism
- Collaborate : Work as part of a team while demonstrating strong independent news judgment
- Promote and deliver positive work atmosphere by means of professional manners, mutual respect and clear communication with supervisors, peers, employees, community representatives and audience

YOU HAVE :
Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Digital Journalism, Radio / Television, or minimum 2 years of multimedia / video journalism experience in televisionFull bilingual fluency in English and Spanish (oral and written)Proficiency with video recording equipment, editing software, and newsroom systemsStrong computer skills and understanding of social media metricsExcellent communication and interpersonal abilitiesMust be willing to work from office in Sacramento, CASalary Range : $50,000-$60,000.
