Pharmacy Technician Senior Certified - Pharmacy - Days

Position Overview

Pay range: $15.50 - $25.20 / hour

Shift: Full-Time with Weekend staffing (every 4th weekend)

Job Description

To act in a leadership role by providing high quality communication with the technical staff and shaping operations in the area assigned. To perform functions related to pharmacy practice and support that do not require action by a licensed professional. To perform the duties of a pharmacy technician. To train pharmacy personnel.

Responsibilities Include:

• Provide high quality patient centered care with pharmacy technician excellence
• Train, educate, and coach new technician staff
• Perform internal audits of pharmacy processes and staff competency in pharmacy workflows
• Staff in technician workflows as needed
• Assist pharmacy supervisors and managers with technician schedule design, continuous quality improvement initiatives, and projects
• Develop, update, and maintain standard work documentation for pharmacy processes
• Assist and lead team-based workflow huddles in assigned area

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED and two (2) years of related experience required. Currently registered or eligible to be registered as a pharmacy technician or pharmacy intern/extern by the Alabama Board of Pharmacy (ALBOP) required. Active registration will be required prior to date of hire. Currently certified as a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or other nationally recognized and accredited certification program requiring examination.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Highly proficient in assigned work area
