Description:Hofstra University’s Lawrence Herbert School of Communication is pleased to invite applications for an adjunct faculty position (adjunct instructor or adjunct assistant/associate/full professor) in the Department of Radio, Television, Film to teach courses in Television Production.
Applications will be accepted on a continuous basis and will be kept on file and reviewed as courses become available.
The preferred candidate will demonstrate extensive experience and knowledge in one or more of the following areas of television production and/or television studies:
•Television Production: Experience in multi-camera or single-camera production, in studio and/or field settings, across one or more phases of production (including pre-production and post-production). Expertise may be broad or focused on a specific sub-discipline, such as sound, graphics, or lighting.
•Television Studies: Experience in the critical analysis of television content, including industry-wide perspectives or specialized knowledge of particular genres or sectors (e.g., sports, entertainment, streaming platforms).
