Required Education / Experience : Master's Degree and 6 years' related experience or Bachelor's Degree and 8 years' related experience. Preferred Education / Experience : Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Safety, Engineering, Physical Science, or a related field and 8 years' experience (including 3 years of relevant EH&S experience) or Master's Degree in Environmental Science, Safety, Engineering, Physical Science, Business, or a related field and 6 years (including 3 years of EH&S experience).

Relevant Work Experience : 5-7 years supervisory and / or managerial experience required. Must have 6 to 10 years related experience required. Demonstrated ability to obtain results required. Must successfully complete training in the Corporate EH&S Procedures within two (2) years of assignment required. Must be highly motivated individual, demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence, and understand the vital importance of personal accountability required. Ability to successfully complete multiple tasks without compromising quality or timelines required. Must be able to develop concepts into successful safety and environmental programs required. Ability to effectively interact with customers, support staff, regulatory agencies, and various levels of management required. Initiate and champion change and have the ability to influence and persuade others in order to improve work practices / processes required. Must be able to deliver exemplary customer service and develop a team spirited work environment in support of Con Edison's Corporate Values required. Must demonstrate proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets and / or an ability to quickly become proficient with database packages including Microsoft Office (including Teams), EMIS, SHIMS, and Maximo required.

Licenses and Certifications : Driver's License required.

Physical Demands : Ability to respond to system emergencies. Able to work in all weather conditions, i.e. excessive heat and / or cold. Ability to climb ladders and stairs. Ability to work in inclement weather and adverse conditions (i.e., excessive heat, cold, noise, confined spaces). Ability to travel to company locations to work on storm restoration and heat contingencies. Wear necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), i.e. fire-retardant clothing and safety harnesses.

Additional Physical Demands : The selected candidate will be assigned a System Emergency Assignment (i.e., an emergency response role) and will be expected to work non-business hours during emergencies, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays. Must be able and willing to travel within O&R and CECONY service territory, as needed.
