What it's like to be a Behavioral Health Therapist at MVP

Fourth Street Clinic is on the lookout for a passionate licensed therapist (LCSW or CMHC) or an MSW / ACMHC working towards licensure to join our innovative behavioral health program. This exciting opportunity invites you to be part of a non-traditional setting where you'll engage in screening, assessments, and both individual and group counseling. As a therapist, you will not only provide vital treatment but also serve as an advocate, connecting clients to essential resources while addressing their behavioral health needs, including mental illness and substance use disorders.

You'll be co-located at our Medically Vulnerable People Program (MVP), focusing on transitional support for unhoused individuals aged 62 and older, or those with significant medical issues. Collaborate closely with our dedicated medical case managers, integrated healthcare teams, and partner agencies like The Road Home, making a meaningful difference in the Salt Lake County community. What you need to be successful

To thrive as a Full-Time Behavioral Health Therapist at Fourth Street Clinic, you'll need a solid foundation built on your education and experience. A graduate of an accredited master's program in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling-or an equivalent degree-is essential, along with a valid license in the State of Utah. Strong interpersonal skills are a must, as you'll be working closely with clients and collaborating with an integrated healthcare team.

Your ability to connect, empathize, and communicate effectively will play a key role in advocating for clients and navigating the resources available to them. Passion for social services and a deep understanding of behavioral health challenges, including mental illness and substance use disorders, will empower you to make a genuine impact. Knowledge and skills required for the position are :
