Cupples Keller Designs is a forward-thinking, woman-owned business headquartered in Oakland with remote offices in Walnut Creek and Grass Valley. We are a team of landscape architects who are creative and inspired to consciously design better for our communities, our environment, and our clients. We promote collaboration and knowledge-sharing as a part of our office culture, giving each team member a chance to contribute from conceptual design through construction.
CKD has a wide variety of project types and is committed to sustainability, social equity, diversity, and inclusion. We prefer projects that mitigate environmental harm, add green space to underserved neighborhoods, and meaningfully engage communities. Our leading areas of project expertise are educational facilities from preschool through higher educational campuses; parks and urban open space; multi-family housing; senior housing; healthcare, and public safety facilities, with the occasional private residential project. Our client base is broad in both the public and private sectors. We provide services primarily in the Greater Bay Area with increasing work in the Sacramento and Gold Country regions.
CKD is a hybrid office that allows employees to create a work / life balance that works both for the company and the employee. We use Microsoft Teams to maintain collaboration across locations. We are looking for self-motivated, ambitious, and talented individuals to work on tasks including all aspects of landscape design and construction drawing production at a range of scales from master planning documentation to detailed site design. This position requires excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills for use in an interactive design team, and an ability to work at a variety of project scales from planning to detail design. This position provides the opportunity for growth and advancement.
