Position Overview
Agile Group is seeking a Technical Editor & Program Communications Lead to ensure that all deliverables produced across Agile’s programs meet the highest standards of clarity, accuracy, and professionalism. This fully remote role works directly with Program Managers to review documents, graphics, schedules, and reports , serving as the final checkpoint before leadership and client review. Limited travel (5–10 days annually) may be required for on-site collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
The Technical Editor & Program Communications Lead will provide both editorial oversight and communications leadership , ensuring all submissions are consistent, polished, and client-ready. Beyond program deliverables, this role will contribute to corporate initiatives , including HR communications, recruiting materials, internal newsletters, and proposal support, when project workloads permit.
Key Responsibilities
Review and edit program deliverables, including technical reports, schedules, graphics, and presentations, to ensure accuracy, clarity, and compliance with client requirements.
Partner with Program Managers to coordinate submission timelines and act as the last line of review before leadership and client delivery.
Translate complex technical or project information into clear, concise, and compelling content tailored for diverse audiences.
Maintain templates, style guides, and editorial standards to drive consistency across Agile’s programs.
Draft executive-level correspondence, summaries, and communication products to support USACE and other federal clients.
Contribute to corporate communications, including newsletters, HR onboarding materials, and recruiting campaigns.
Provide ad hoc support for proposal development, compliance reviews, and corporate events.
Serve as a trusted partner to Agile leadership, strengthening Agile’s reputation through attention to detail and communications excellence.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Business, or related field.
7+ years of professional experience in technical editing, program communications, or related roles (federal contracting experience preferred).
Proven ability to edit and refine complex technical content, schedules, and visuals for client delivery.
Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a focus on clarity and precision.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deliverables under tight deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook); experience with Adobe Acrobat for document review.
Comfortable collaborating in a hybrid or fully remote team environment.
Preferred Skills
Prior experience supporting USACE, DoD, or other federal clients.
Familiarity with proposal development and federal compliance deliverables.
Experience with SharePoint, Teams, or similar collaboration platforms.
Knowledge of HR or recruiting processes with the ability to support corporate communications.
Basic graphic design or document formatting skills (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar).
Salary & Benefits
Salary Range : $95,000 – $110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
