POSITION SUMMARY :

Machinist and mechanic duties with the purpose of keeping production eyelet machines operational.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

Key Responsibilities :

I. Preventative Maintenance and Inspections :

A. Lubricate and grease machines.

B. Inspect moving parts for wear

C. Locate sources of problems in mechanical devices.

D. Documentation in preventative maintenance software

II. Fabricates repair parts

A. Using lathes, milling machines, surface grinders, welders, etc.

B. Building / repairing machine guards

C. Ability to read a blueprint and fabricate parts from it.

III. Rebuild Machinery

A. Tear down and rebuild existing eyelet machines.

B. Upgrading equipment for modern day specs.

C. Ability to read a blueprint and fabricate parts from it.

IV. Familiarity with

A. Progressive die machines

B. ICOP eyelet machines

C. Multiple transfer presses

D. Bijur lubrication systems

V. Non-essential Responsibilities :

A. Performs other duties as directed.

Requirements

Skills and Abilities :

• Ability to read, write, and effectively communicate.
• 5 years or more of industrial experience as a machinist / mechanic.
• Mensuration and Metrology
• Ability to maintain a safe and clean working environment.
• Ability to work well within a team environment, as well as being able to work independently and effectively use time management.

Work Environment :

This position involves working in a manufacturing environment that is adjacent to the shop work environment. The employee must be aware of potential hazards, including, but not limited to, working in close proximity to moving mechanical parts, operating vehicles, exposure to electrical current, high temperatures, and chemicals. It's important to maintain a high level of alertness and caution while performing tasks in this work environment.
