This position requires a highly skilled Telemetry / Progressive Care Registered Nurse who can deliver exceptional, patient-centered care in a dynamic hospital environment. Candidates must be flexible and willing to float between various departments and nearby locations within a 20-mile radius. Additionally, all selected travelers are required to pass a Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia (BCA) exam administered onsite. Passing is mandatory before beginning the assignment. If unsuccessful on the first attempt, one re-test will be provided. A second failure will result in cancellation of the contract and enforcement of applicable fees.

The RN will provide comprehensive nursing care using the full nursing process—assessing patient needs, planning and implementing interventions, evaluating outcomes, and documenting all aspects of care according to facility standards. Responsibilities include administering medications and treatments, coordinating care with the healthcare team, supporting patient and family education, and ensuring adherence to all established protocols. The RN will also supervise LPNs and unlicensed support personnel as needed.

Qualified candidates must have a minimum of two years of recent experience in an 18+ bed Telemetry or Progressive Care Unit and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Completion of at least one 13-week travel assignment is required. Preferred candidates will have experience with Epic EMR.

Applicants must hold an active New Mexico or Compact RN license and maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications through approved organizations. NIHSS certification is preferred.

Licensure & Certifications

Required :

Active New Mexico or Compact State RN License

BLS and ACLS (must be obtained through American Heart Association, American Health & Safety, or American Red Cross)

Successful completion of a BCA / Dysrhythmia Assessment prior to or during the first week of assignment

Preferred : NIHSS certification
