Must-Have : - Chemo certification required. - Experience in oncology nursing. - Experience in telemetry and IV therapy. Description : This position involves caring for patients with acute leukemia. The primary patient population includes newly diagnosed acute leukemia patients. Responsibilities include administering chemotherapy and blood products. A heavy focus on infection prevention protocols is essential. Telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias are required skills. Candidates must be proficient in IV therapy and phlebotomy. Candidates should be familiar with computerized charting systems. Staffing ratios are a goal of 1 : 4, but may vary. Self-scheduling requests will be accepted to accommodate preferred schedules.
