Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform financial analysis identifying trends and variances.
- Review and provide in-depth analysis of project revenues costs budgets and variances.
- Reconcile General Ledger (GL) accounts.
- Improve and enhance processes and internal controls.
- Compile consolidated financial statements including balance sheet income statement equity statement and cash flow statement.
- Prepare financial transaction reports such as income and loss statements balance sheets and account reconciliations.
- Review Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable weekly.
- Process accounts receivable / payable and generate monthly client invoices.
- Manage tax filings and maintain the tax calendar.
- Enter all cash receipts and disbursements for IOLTA trust and operating accounts into the accounting system.
- Provide all required financial reports to the firms owner monthly.
- Develop plans for growth to increase profitability while reducing expenditures.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and company policies.
- Assist with year-end audit financial reporting and analysis.
Qualifications
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required.Reside in the state of FloridaMinimum bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting.At least three years of accounting or bookkeeping experience in a law firm or accounting firm environment.Deep knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and accounting procedures.Proficiency in MS Excel data entry and accounting software.Ability to maintain strict confidentiality when handling financial data.Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.Key Skills
