Key Responsibilities :
- Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, perform treatments and special tests, and document all required information in accordance with company policies and regulations.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess and identify patients' conditions.
- Assess and evaluate patient needs and responses to care.
- Exercise sound nursing judgment in making patient care management decisions.
- Provide emergency care for both occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
- Administer medications as ordered, including over-the-counter and prescription medications.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to develop comprehensive Plan of Care for all patients.
- Guide and direct ancillary personnel, maintaining high standards of professional nursing practice.
Qualifications :
Graduate of a professional nursing program (Diploma, Associate Degree, or Bachelor’s Degree).Current NYS Registered Nurse license.Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care is preferred.Strong communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills.Knowledge of quality concepts and problem-solving techniques, with the ability to apply them to enhance departmental and patient care quality.We appreciate your interest in Albany Medical Center!
