Associate - Patent Prosecution (Electrical Engineering & Computer Science)

Direct Counsel is representing an Amlaw 100 firm seeking a mid-level associate to join its Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Patent Prosecution Practice Group. This position is open to any firm location, with strong preference for Atlanta, Denver, Houston, St. Louis, Kansas City, Los Angeles, or San Francisco.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in patent preparation and prosecution, along with a degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, software engineering, computer science, or physics. Candidates must also demonstrate strong academic achievement, prior law firm, engineering, or industry experience, and excellent writing and communication skills.

Preferred experience includes :

• Patent prosecution in electrical engineering or software-related technologies, including :

Machine learning, artificial intelligence, or neural networks

Qualifications :

Compensation : Salary range between $240,000-$365,000 with additional discretionary bonus potential. Comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k), and paid time off.
