Job Title : NICU Registered Nurse Profession : Registered Nurse Specialty : Neonatal Intensive Care Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Night Hours per Shift : 12 Experience : Minimum 1.5 years License : Current nursing license required Certifications : BLS, NRP Must-Have : Charge experience preferred Description : Looking for a NICU Registered Nurse for our Level III and IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. This position requires weekend coverage every other week. Experience with EPIC documentation is required. Candidates must have a minimum of 1.5 years of NICU experience. Skilled in management of arterial lines and central lines is necessary. Experience with bottle, breast, and gavage feedings is essential. Knowledge of isolation precautions and neonatal abstinence syndrome is required. Candidates should be proficient in neonatal dosage calculations for neonates aged 29-34 weeks. Experience placing and managing oral, nasogastric, and nasojejunal tubes is important. Ventilator management skills are needed for various modes such as AC, PC, SIMV, CPAP, BIPAP, and PEEP. The unit supports interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. This role involves caring for neonates and infants.
