Position Summary

Responsible for preventative maintenance, diagnosis, repairs, reconditioning and overhaul of heavy diesel equipment. Heavy equipment may include, but is not limited to, front-end loaders, dozers, graders, rollers, and / or excavators.

Principle Responsibilities / Accountabilities

• Performs general and detailed repair of all heavy equipment, engines and components.
• Diagnoses and troubleshoots machine and engine malfunctions and failures.
• Keeps knowledge up to date with developments in tooling, technologies and systems.
• Uses safe working practices and follows all company safety requirements.
• Maintains a clean and organized work area.
• Performs maintenance activities on new and rebuilt / repaired equipment.
• Makes recommendations as to repairs meeting warranty criteria.
• Make parts replacement decisions assuring optimum economic reusability.
• Performs duties as assigned.
• Runs diagnostics using computer.
• Respects coworkers.
