Job Description Summary

  • Operate heavy equipment used in the process of laying asphalt
  • Work in a team environment
  • Perform daily inspections of equipment
  • Be able to perform numerous asphalt paving task as needed : shovel, lute, screed, driver, broom
  • Be responsible for a safe work environment for themselves and other team members
  • Perform minor servicing and maintenance of equipment
  • Perform general labor duties when necessary
  • Follow directions of the Foreman
  • Properly follow all company policies
  • When working with co-workers, constant eye contact will be maintained when backing, communicating using hand signals

    • Qualifications

  • To perform this job, an individual must be competent, fast learning, and have a good attitude

    • Education / Experience

  • Minimum or high school diploma or general education degree requires
  • Previous asphalt paving experience is preferred

    • Work Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Must adhere to safety requirements and procedures in the employee handbook
  • Must be willing to work in a team environment
  • Must have a valid drivers license
  • Overtime hours maybe required
  • Individuals are required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Be willing to work outdoors in extreme temperatures, both hot and cold
  • Be on time
  • Be willing to train others
