About the role :

We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join our Garner Health Intelligence team to help build and evolve our provider data insights. You'll work with our clinical researchers, data scientists, and data engineers to improve the rules and models we use to evaluate provider performance. Your work will directly impact our member recommendations and provider-facing data products.

You will also be a technical leader, raising the bar for how we conduct analysis, build models, and deploy data science code by improving standards and mentoring team members.

Where you will work :

This role will be based in our New York City office. You must be willing to work in the office 3 days per week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

What you will do :

• Partner with product managers and clinical experts to lead projects shaping how we define and measure provider cost and quality
• Drive the evolution and construction of tools we use to write, assess, and combine rules measuring provider behaviors
• Build and maintain data-driven algorithms, including AI and machine learning models, to improve our provider recommendations estimates
• Partner with data engineers to design scalable data pipelines that ingest, clean, and enrich healthcare provider data
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, research, and operations teams to translate business needs into data-driven solutions
• Define data science standards and best practices, and mentor team members to raise the technical capabilities of the data science team

Compensation Transparency :

The target salary range for this position is $200,000 - $240,000. Individual compensation for this role will depend on various factors, including qualifications, skills, and applicable laws. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible to participate in our equity incentive and competitive benefits plans, including but not limited to : flexible PTO, Medical / Dental / Vision plan options, 401(k) with company match, flexible spending accounts, Teladoc Health and more.
