Job Description : Cardiothoracic Surgeon - Boise, ID

  • Position : Cardiothoracic Surgeon
  • Location : Boise, ID
  • Shifts : 7am-7am (24-hour on-call shifts, weekend coverage required)
  • On Call Requirements : Yes, daily call and occasional PTO coverage
  • Number of Positions : 1
  • Rate :
  • On-call : $2,750 per 24-hour shift (includes 3 hours gratis)
  • Call back : $310 / hour after gratis hours

Key Responsibilities :

  • Cover occasional weekend on-call and PTO for the Cardiothoracic Surgery team.
  • Perform adult cardiac and general thoracic surgeries, including :
  • Aortic dissection, CABG (Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting)
  • Tube thoracostomy, Pericardial window, Thoracotomy lung resections and pneumonectomy
  • Heart valve repair / replacement surgery, Dissection, VA + VV ECMO placement.
  • Work in a Cardiothoracic Surgery dedicated OR with support from 4 rotating Physician Assistants .
  • Patient Population : Adult and Geriatric.
  • Use Epic for Electronic Medical Records (EMR).

    • Requirements :

  • ACGME or AOA Accredited Residency and Cardiothoracic Fellowship
  • Board Certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery
  • Active Idaho State License or IMLC
  • ACLS and DEA Certification
  • Clean background with no malpractice history

    • Facility Information :

  • EMR : Epic
  • Operating Room : 1 dedicated Cardiothoracic Surgery OR
  • Support : 4 Physician Assistants rotate to assist in the OR

    • Patient Demographic : Adult and Geriatric patients requiring advanced cardiac and thoracic procedures
