Jackson Supply Company is a leading wholesale distributor of HVAC equipment and supplies.  We currently have 24 locations throughout Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee, Oklahoma, and Texas.  To continue our overall company trend of growth and excellence, we are searching for an ambitious individual to fill a Non CDL Delivery Driver / Warehouse position in Baton Rouge, LA.

Summary

The Delivery Driver is primarily responsible for transporting product, making timely customer deliveries while providing exceptional customer service.  Pickup and delivery automatically includes loading and unloading and / or assisting the receiving party.  Most points of delivery are within 50 miles of Baton Rouge. The delivery vehicle is a box truck.  When not driving, duties of the warehouse will be assigned.

Duties and Responsibilities

Delivering and unloading customer orders to customer locations, job sites, or designated locations and accommodating specific customer requests

Verifying all orders for accuracy and inspecting for damage

Performing warehouse duties when not driving

Other duties as needed or assigned

Physical Demands

Extensive or prolonged driving

Lift and carry 80 pounds without mechanical aid

Push, pull or scoot up to 250 pounds without mechanical aid

Manually raise and lower objects from floor to above head

Climb ladders

Work at heights

Twist, bend, stoop, push, pull, reach and squat

Work in heat and cold in unconditioned dusty warehouse environment

Maneuver mechanical aids such as a pallet jack, hand truck, etc.

Distant vision clarity 20 feet or more with or without correction

Mid-range vision clarity more than 20 inches and less than 20 feet

Near vision clarity to 20 inches or less with or without correction

Required Skills

Ability to operate vehicle in a safe manner at all times

Must have excellent customer service skills

Must be literate and able to perform basic math functions

Other Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age

Have and maintain a valid driver’s license

Have or be able to obtain a chauffeur’s license

Have or be able to obtain a Medical Examiner’s Certificate and keep it current

Have and maintain an acceptable driving record

Must be able to pass drug screen and physical exam
