Responsibilities
- Coordinate logistics for PCL-led outreach events, career fairs, training workshops, and community investment activities.
- Represent PCL at external outreach and community engagement events; assist in follow-up and documentation.
- Maintain a calendar of outreach activities and track participation, outcomes, and new relationships.
- Support supplier diversity and business inclusion initiatives by maintaining contact lists, tracking interest forms, and engaging with small and diverse firms.
- Provide research support for pursuits, proposals, and presentations, including demographic analysis, benchmarking, and best practices.
- Assist with tracking and reporting on supplier diversity, workforce development, and community engagement metrics.
- Collect and draft community success stories for internal and external communications.
- Support development of community engagement content for newsletters, internal updates, and external marketing.
- Report to and assist the Economic Impact & External Affairs Manager in expanding relationships with workforce agencies, nonprofit organizations, and trade/community associations.
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of overall workforce development, supplier diversity, and community investment objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Public Policy, or related field; or equivalent relevant experience.
- 2–4 years of experience in event planning, outreach coordination, DEI, community engagement, or related field.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; Excel and database management strongly preferred.
- Comfortable working with diverse stakeholders and representing PCL externally.
- Flexibility to travel locally and attend events during evenings and weekends as needed.
The estimated salary range for this role is $65,000 - $85,000, based on your experience and qualifications. Final compensation will be confirmed as part of a personalized offer.
