TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ICU / Critical Care RN in Marianna, Florida, 32446!
Job Title : ICU Registered Nurse
Profession : RN (Registered Nurse)
Specialty : Intensive Care Unit
Duration : 13 weeks
Shift : Night Shift
Hours per Shift : 12 hours (7 PM - 7 AM)
Experience : Minimum 1 year of ICU experience
License : Active RN License required
Certifications : BLS, ACLS, PALS required
Must-Have : Vent and trach experience
Description :
Units have faced significant challenges due to recent healthcare demands.
Flexibility and adaptability are essential as unit needs may change frequently.
Currently, there are two types of care units available.
There will be instances of high patient acuity and varying numbers of admissions.
Candidates must have experience managing critical care drips and monitoring patients on vents.
Patient ratios aim for 1 : 2 in intensive care, although there may be occasions of higher ratios for lower acuity patients.
In other care settings, ratios of 1 : 4 or 1 : 5 are common, but staffing is based on patient acuity.
RNs are expected to read and interpret cardiac strips.
RT services are available 24 / 7 for ventilator management.
A pharmacy is also operational 24 / 7, ensuring medication availability.
RNs must be prepared to function flexibly across different care settings as needed.
COVID-19 has led to patients with diverse diagnoses, including DKA, sepsis, pulmonary edema, and others during specific seasons.
This role requires teamwork and a commitment to providing the best care possible.
Candidates should be prepared for variable patient admissions, which can fluctuate greatly.
