Serco is hiring a Junior Mechanical Assembler to be part of a dynamic team supporting our U.S. Navy with equipment, and C5ISR system installations located in the beautiful surroundings of Newport News, Virginia. Serco supports our U.S Naval Ships with successful and safe work by providing cabling, equipment, and C5ISR system installations for our Military. You will join an amazing team to fabricate, and assemble various electromechanical and electronic assemblies by applying appropriate safety techniques. You will also play a critical role in ensuring that successful and safe work is performed on-board U.S. Naval Ships and our Military installations, which is vital to our Mission to protect and serve our Military.

In this role, you will :

• Follow blueprints, guidelines, and / or diagrams to fabricate and assemble various electromechanical and electronic assemblies.
• Perform work with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within field.
• Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Work on-board U.S. Naval Ships and military installations in an area that is somewhat uncomfortable due to drafts, noise, temperature variation and the like and with equipment where carelessness would probably result in minor cuts, bruises, muscle strains, serious injury, or death.
