Position Summary :

The Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner contractor position is responsible for providing clinical care in the school setting for children and adolescents ranging in age from 5-22 at the Delaware County Intermediate Unit alternative school settings. Children and adolescents in this setting are high need both from a psychiatric and behavioral perspective as well as from a social determinants of health standpoint. She / he / they will utilize assessment tools to identify areas for interventions and partner with district staff to support the student in a manner that is conducive to all aspects of wellness. While working as part of a team, this position requires a significant amount of autonomy, and ideal candidates will possess the ability to adapt approaches based on the individual needs of students.

This position is part-time at 24 hours per week, with flexible scheduling available during regular school hours (7 : 30 am–3 : 30 pm). Hours may be distributed across all five weekdays or condensed into three longer days.

Position Responsibilities :

• Conduct Psychiatric Evaluations
• Medication Management
• Clinical documentation (as required by State Regulations / Managed Care Organizations)
• Participate in weekly (for first 90 days) then monthly clinical supervision with Psychiatrist
• Work as integral part of a multi-disciplinary team
• Collaborate with the Medical Director, Senior Managing Director and Administrative Team
• Communicate with clients, families, peers and community representatives
• Utilize EMR as needed for case activity
• Maintain charts and document case activity through progress notes and other program specific paperwork by typing or handwriting
• Participate in team meetings, including but not limited to weekly Clinical Rounds, Clinical Team meetings, DCIU nursing meetings.
