A company is looking for a Student Loan Counselor to assist delinquent borrowers and prevent default.
Key Responsibilities :
Contact delinquent borrowers through calls, letters, and emails to inform them of repayment options
Counsel borrowers on deferment, forbearance, and rehabilitation requirements, and submit necessary forms
Track and report activities to achieve departmental goals and maintain compliance with regulations
Required Qualifications :
Associate degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred
2+ years of experience in call center default management or consumer loan collections
Fundamental skill level in MS-Excel
Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive data
Must be able to work evening and weekend shifts as necessary
