Controller

Description We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our team in Santa Ana, California. This role is ideal for a candidate with a strong background in construction accounting and financial management. The position offers a balance of hands-on involvement and strategic planning, making it a great opportunity for someone who enjoys both detailed work and big-picture thinking.

Responsibilities :

• Oversee all aspects of construction accounting, including job costing and financial reporting.
• Manage the month-end close process and ensure accuracy in accounts receivable, accounts payable, and financial statements.
• Develop and implement budgeting and forecasting strategies to support organizational goals.
• Monitor cash flow and banking activities to maintain financial health.
• Prepare consolidated financial reports for multiple entities while ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Collaborate with leadership to drive strategic planning and decision-making.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights.
• Maintain strong operational oversight to ensure efficiency and compliance.
• Lead efforts in multi-entity financial reporting consolidations.
• Provide hands-on support to understand and address business challenges effectively. Requirements - Minimum of 7 years of experience in the construction industry, with a focus on accounting and financial management.
• Proficiency in construction accounting, including job costing and specialized reporting.
• Strong understanding of cash flow management and banking processes.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
• Ability to prepare and analyze consolidated financial reports for multiple entities.
• Skilled in month-end close procedures, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
• Excellent operational skills with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
• Familiarity with document control and financial data compilation processes.
