Clinical Educator (3936) TRAINING LC CORPORATE OFFICE

SUMMARY :

The clinical educator is required to have a thorough working knowledge of EHR and clinical policy and procedures. Provide instruction to clinical staff, adhering to the policies of the department setting and the Clinic. Evaluate and document students’ progress through testing, observation, and assessment of skills attained. Communicate effectively with students and with managers and physicians. The educator will conduct training on new employees as well as currently employed staff.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :

Formal training preferred which will be indicated by a graduation certificate from an accredited LPN school of nursing; basic life support and CPR certifications; current Kentucky state licensure required; IV certification preferred; minimum two years broad experience with emphasis in medical office duties; ability to monitor patient condition; good verbal communication skills.

Candidate will possess strong organizational and time management skills; excellent interpersonal skills and verbal and written communications skills; ability to adapt training communication and style to that of multiple skill levels and audiences.

Prefer a candidate with working knowledge of personal computer applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; knowledge necessary to understand EHR functionality and potential and to create learning tools and material. Attention to detail and accuracy of reporting. Athena experience a plus.

PHYSICAL GUIDELINES :

Physical guidelines include the ability to move, traverse, position self, remain in a stationary position and negotiate steps for up to eight hours per day.
