We are seeking an Accounting Consultant at the Controller level to join our growing Financial Operations practice in the DFW area.

You will be a valuable part of our client delivery team in this role. If you have a passion for helping growing companies achieve success, are looking for an opportunity to work with a fast paced, growing company, and like to be able to make an impact this could be the role for you!

What Youll Do

  • Build and maintain relationships with Current and prospective clients
  • Interact with BPC members in Financial Operations and other practice areas of the firm to coordinate excellent delivery
  • Assist with reconciliations, month end reporting, preparing clients for audit, cleaning up their books, and assisting their department with integration of merger and acquisition data
  • Interact directly with the client contact (CFO, Controller) and their staff
  • Provide project status updates, feedback, and thoughtful insights into client challenges for your delivery manager
  • Embrace flexibility and take on tasks and assignments that maybe out of your comfort zone

Required Skills

  • 6+ years of hands?on full?cycle accounting experience
  • B.A. or B.S. required, Accounting or Finance degrees preferred
  • Strong desire for consulting?style work and delivering excellent customer service
  • Industry experience in start-ups, technology, software, oilfield services, insurance and Big Four / public accounting is highly preferred
  • Experience with monthly close procedures, monthly and quarterly financial reporting
  • Recent hands?on experience with routine accounting processes such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, and cash management
  • Hands?on experience with accounting software (i.e. QuickBooks, NetSuite, Great Plains or Intacct)
  • Ability to adapt to various client environments, and communicate effectively at all levels within the organization
  • Demonstration of a strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, experience researching technical GAAP issues
  • Past experience working in small to mid?sized company environment with the ability to multi?task and wear several hats

    • Preferred Skills

  • CPA and / or MBA preferred
  • Prior employment by a Big Four or other nationally recognized accounting firms
  • Industry experience in emerging growth, technology, and SaaS companies
  • Revenue Recognitions highly preferred
