We’re adding an Aviation Freight Handling Specialist at Kansas City International Airport . If you thrive on pace, precision, and teamwork, this role puts you at the center of moving cargo efficiently and safely.
Pay : $17 / hr
What You'll Do
- Manually load and unload cargo; move packages to the correct warehouse locations
- Use handheld barcode scanners to process inbound and outbound items
- Verify product details by scanning barcodes and confirming accuracy
- Label packages for proper shipment and tracking
- Maintain exceptional scanning accuracy to minimize shipment and receipt errors
- Collaborate with teammates to meet daily scanning and packing goals
- Follow safety protocols and standard operating procedures at all times
- Report discrepancies promptly to leadership
- Inspect damaged freight and communicate findings to leadership
- Handle and store cargo in line with safety regulations
- Apply correct documentation to the appropriate freight
- Participate in training on freight handling, safety, and compliance
- Keep work areas clean and organized
- Bring strong attention to detail and a positive, safety-focused mindset
- Take on additional duties as assigned

18+ years oldEligible to work in the United StatesExperience in warehousing or inventory control is helpful but not requiredFluent in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English, including job documentsComfortable interpreting printed and electronic information; able to use iPads / Tablets, computers, and mobile devicesClear, professional communicator with colleagues and clients in person and electronicallyPass a background check and drug screenCapable of obtaining needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs, and U.S. Postal- as applicable)Willing to work varied shifts that rotate every 3–4 months, including nights, weekends, and holidays—airlines run 24 / 7Accessibility
