Description :
The Customer Service Cash Handler creates a welcoming atmosphere while ensuring accurate and secure transactions throughout the shift. Responsibilities include managing cash, answering calls, preparing beverages, cooking soups, and maintaining displays and condiment stations. This role also involves keeping the front of house (FOH) stocked, handling baked goods, and maintaining cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities :
- Prepare and serve coffee, tea, and specialty beverages.
- Package sweets and cakes for display and sale.
- Set up and refresh product displays according to peak hours.
- Manage the condiment station and ensure FOH setup is organized and inviting.
- Operate the cashier station, ensuring cash flow accuracy.
- Verify initial cash and perform financial transactions without errors.
- Respond to customer inquiries and provide detailed information about food offerings, allergens, and nutritional content.
- Engage in upselling and suggestive selling techniques.
- Frost cakes and cut bars / brownies as required.
- Ensure the FOH is stocked properly and maintain cleanliness by emptying trash and mopping as needed.
- Communicate effectively with guests to enhance their experience.
- Report any guest concerns to management for quick resolution.
- Maintain a friendly demeanor and respond positively to guest requests.
- Support company initiatives related to sales and food safety goals.
- Adhere to safety and sanitation regulations.

High School diploma or equivalent.State Food Handler card / ServSafe certification as needed.Preferred : minimum of 3 months experience in cash handling, preferably in a restaurant or retail setting.Strong guest service and communication skills.Detail-oriented and organized.Competent in using POS (Point of Sale) systems.Must read, write, and speak English fluently.Basic math skills are required (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).Additional Info :
