Travel Cable Technician

The ideal candidate is a

• self-starter
• who works well with a partner. You will be paired with another technician for the duration of each project, typically working
• 6 days per week
• Responsibilities :
• Pull and terminate low-voltage cable (Cat5, Cat6).
• Install network equipment in commercial settings.
• Follow instructions and applicable codes when pulling cable.
• Run low-voltage cabling in commercial buildings, including drilling through concrete walls and limited conduit work.
• Ensure all cables are neatly tied and bundled according to safety regulations.
• Install cable support structures such as j-hooks, cable racks, and inner duct.
• Conduct tests to verify newly installed cable systems and devices are operational.
• Troubleshoot cable network issues.
• Adhere to all project safety requirements set forth by the client, customers, or OSHA.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by your supervisor.
• Requirements :
• Previous experience as a
• Data Cable Technician
• Ability and willingness to travel extensively nationwide (100% travel).
• Available to work
• overnight shifts (7 PM - 7 AM), 5 days per week
• Ability to lift and carry
• 50 lbs or more
• multiple times per shift.
• Comfortable working in cramped spaces and at heights.
• Ability to operate a scissor lift.
• Willingness to travel to
• Lowell, AR
• for new hire orientation.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (no DUI / DWI in the past 3 years).
• Ability to complete work orders and maintain tools provided by the company.
• Compliance with PPE requirements (company provides hard hat, vest, and safety glasses; must provide steel-toed boots).
• Required tools : hand tools, screwdrivers (standard and Phillips), snips, punch-down tool (impact), toner and probe, pliers, adjustable wrenches, joint pliers, and lineman pliers.
• Skills :
• Low-voltage cabling and installation
• Wireless Access Points (WAP)
• CCTV installation
• Access control systems
• Cable termination and punch-down
• Troubleshooting network issues

• The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00 / hr.
