Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A K-12 educational opportunity is available for certified Teachers for the Visually Impaired to support students in Chicago, IL. This contract position spans the current school year, offering a chance to make a meaningful impact by providing specialized instruction and resources to visually impaired learners.

Key Responsibilities :

• Deliver tailored instructional programs to K-12 students with visual impairments to enhance academic achievement and independence.
• Assess students visual needs and collaborate with educational teams to develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
• Utilize assistive technology and adaptive materials to support learning and accessibility.
• Provide training and guidance to teachers, families, and staff on visual impairment strategies.
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting teaching methods as required.
