Requirements

Qualifications & Requirements

1 year of experience as a Sterile Tech.

Sterile Processing Certification (CRCST or CBSPD)

BLS from AHA

Skills & Responsibilities

Disassemble, clean, sterilize, reassemble, and package instruments and supplies per specifications.

Operate washers, sterilizers (steam and ethylene oxide), ultrasonic machines, heat sealers, and related equipment.

Follow instrument count sheets for surgical sets and case carts.

Retrieve and decontaminate used instruments and equipment from clinical and surgical areas.

Inspect instruments for cleanliness, function, and assembly; report defective equipment promptly.

Maintain accurate documentation and adherence to sterilization procedures.

Support inventory management by ordering, stocking, and maintaining appropriate supply levels.

Ensure compliance with infection prevention and safety protocols.
